The side of the candle has dripped wax and the top is wavy. It uses three AAA batteries (included).
It has two modes of operation:
Timer Mode: Move the switch to TIMER at the time you want your candle to come on each day. Your candle will glow for 5 hours then automatically go off, then the next day it will come on and go off at the exact same time you set it for.
It is 5 hours on, 19 off.
On/Off Mode: Use this option to turn the candle on and off manually.
